FERY TOMI

Born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, Fery came to the United States in 1996 and has stayed there ever since.

He majored in Electronics and Communication Engineering while studying in Singapore. In 1996, he came to Los Angeles and a year later, pursued computer animation with an interest in the area of CGI filmmaking. In 2001, he graduated with a BFA in computer animation from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

He spent the next 3 years working as a volunteer in a Christian-based non-profit organization, following a 2 year period as a stocks trader. In 2006, he returned to Los Angeles and worked as 3D freelance artist. In 2007, he formed EQ Studios with a friend to help educate youth in the area of digital content creation.

He has worked on freelance projects in the areas of 3D modeling, 3D rigging & animation, 3D product visualization, web-design and video-editing. He also teaches 3D animation and pre-production classes at private schools and community centers, both for students and under-privelleged youth who have interest in CGI filmmaking.
